I approach my work with individuals and families with passion. I am committed to supporting individuals to explore and understand their concerns and hold sincere admiration for their life stories and struggles.
I have spent more than a decade working with children, youth and families experiencing disability and difference, providing support through diagnosis, small and large transitions, behavioural and emotional difficulties, shifts in family dynamics and much more. I have developed specialized skills addressing the impacts of disability and mental health concerns on individuals and families, the renegotiation of identity post-diagnosis as well as sibling, family and couple relationships.
I hold a Hons. Bachelors of Social Work degree from Lakehead University, a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Windsor and have recently completed my Masters of Social Work (Clincial) from McMaster University. I am a Registered Social Worker practicing in Eastern GTA (Durham Region and surrounding area).
